We are proud of Daniel Solberg and SCA who won "Student Favorite of the Year" at the Sundsvall Business Awards gala.
Daniel and SCA were nominated by Mid Sweden University students as one of three candidates for the award. Daniel has been a supervisor for Mid Sweden University student John Nilsson, who at the end of his master's degree in technical chemistry did his degree project at SCA.
The work has been carried out on behalf of SCA R&D Centre and the Pulp business area, in close collaboration with the staff at the Fiber Line at Östrand's pulp mill. The purpose has been to develop strategies for dealing with scaling in bleach plant effluent coolers. These heatexchangers produce district heating while the effluent temperature is reduced.
The nomination is:
SCA is at the forefront of student collaborations. They work long-term to hire students after graduation. SCA protects its brand and works actively to keep up with the outside world's demands for changes, where the focus is on sustainability work, competence development and the development of important quality tools. SCA's leadership can be summarized as inclusive, present and long-term.
