Natural resources programs
We collaborate with all forestry and natural resources programs across northern Sweden where SCA operates. The forestry sector depends on skilled professionals, and these schools play a vital role in preparing the workforce of the future. Through our engagement, we aim to demonstrate that forestry is an industry with strong long-term prospects.
There are seven forestry and natural resources programs within SCA’s operating area, and SCA is represented on the advisory board of each school. We support the schools in their development efforts to enhance the quality of education and help ensure that students gain the knowledge and skills they need for their future careers. This support includes working with school principals, offering guest lectures, participating in education fairs, organizing practical field exercises in the forest, and providing training forests where students can gain hands-on experience operating forestry machinery.
Work placements are also an important part of these partnerships. We strive to offer internship opportunities within SCA’s own harvesting teams and encourage the contractors we work with to provide placements as well.
