SCA acquires additional Metsä Tissue shares

SCA acquires additional Metsä Tissue shares According to the agreement entered into on 30 May 2000 with Metsä-Serla Oyj, the completion of SCA's acquisition of Metsä-Serla's shares in Metsä Tissue Oyj is contingent upon SCA obtaining 90% of the total number of Metsä Tissue shares and upon the acquisition being approved by relevant competition authorities. SCA has now entered into time-limited agreements with certain minority shareholders in Metsä Tissue for SCA to acquire their shares for the price of EUR 15 per share, contingent upon SCA's transaction with Metsä-Serla being completed. This means that, together with the shares to be acquired from Metsä-Serla, SCA is now assured of obtaining more than 90% of the total number of Metsä Tissue shares.
