Over the past five years, SCA has added 30,763 hectares of new key habitat within the framework of the company’s forestry operations. In total, this means that roughly 78,000 hectares of the company’s land are assessed as key habitat.

SCA is bringing its market and sales organization together under a common structure for Pulp and Containerboard, creating a clearer overall responsibility for sales and marketing across the business areas.
Mr. Henning Ellström has been appointed to lead the new combined function. At the same time, Mr. Arvid Eriksson has been appointed VP Sales and Marketing for Pulp, while Mr. Mikael Frölander will continue in his role as VP Sales and Marketing for Containerboard.
The new organization is now in effect.

New RoRo traffic in the port of Piteå reduces emissions
Starting on 1 October 2026, SCA will implement changes to its sea transport using RoRo vessels (Roll-on/Roll-off) by reducing speed, increasing vessel load factors, and adjusting how the ports in Umeå and Piteå are used. One effect of these changes is that emissions from the vessels will be reduced by approximately 40 percent.
SCA receives award for well-managed forest in Lithuania
SCA has been awarded the Lithuanian Forest Owners Association's award for exemplary management of private forests in the Lithuanian county of Klaipeda.
