To address the looming changes due to climate change, society needs to reduce its dependence on energy produced with fossil fuels and increase the share of fossil-free renewable energy. Wind power is one of the keys to coping with the transition.

Together with our partners, we contribute to the realization of some of Sweden's largest wind power projects. At the end of 2023, 9,0 TWh of wind power was produced on SCA's land.

Projects on SCA's land
SCA is Europe's largest private forest owner with 2.6 million hectares of forest land. In several areas the good wind conditions make it attractive to develop wind power and SCA has signed several land leases with developers and project owners. An extensive expansion of wind power is currently underway and the demand for green electricity is estimated to continue to increase sharply.

SCA offers the opportunity for early dialogue that takes place before the statutory consultation process begins for a possible wind power establishment.
