Extended investigation of the Metsa Tissue transaction The EU Commission has decided to extend the investigation of SCA's acquisition of Metsa Tissue. The decision means that the examination of the transaction may continue for another four months. In the sale- and purchase agreement SCA has committed to provide the Commission with certain, limited undertakings. So far these undertakings have been deemed insufficient by the Commission. SCA and Metsa-Serla will now enter the second phase of the proceedings with the common objective of getting the transaction cleared by the Commission.
