Planting season in SCA forests
The planting season has begun. For SCA, this signifies the planting of one hundred million seedlings in the ground. Reforestation plays a crucial role in both carbon sequestration and the cultivation of trees that can serve as climate-smart bio-raw materials in the future.
In the forefront (of going green)
Our new Kraftliner machine at the Obbola mill is the largest and most advanced in the world. In addition, we´re also at the forefront of going green.
Road towards excellence
We’re on an exciting and engaging journey with our new Kraftliner machine. With over 60 years of experience, we're well-prepared for this leap forward.
Powering up together
What an adventure - learning to run a brand-new paper machine. Our great team at the Obbola mill has really rolled up their sleeves and conquer the challenge that laid before them.

Taking SCA Kraftliner far into the future
The demand for renewable packaging will keep growing. That is why SCA invests 750 million Euro in a new paper machine for the production of Kraftliner in Obbola. Our annual production capacity will then go from 450 000 tonnes to 725 000 per annum.
Get ahead - by going green
Our new Kraftliner machine at the Obbola mill is the largest and most advanced in the world. We are also in the forefront of going green.
Limit global warming
Did you know that SCA’s operations are climate positive? There are several initiatives and improvements made in our entire value chain.
Only fossil-free production available
We are convinced that sustainable, fossil-free kraftliner processes is the best road forward to mitigate climate impact.
The survivor
Your box may be exposed to hot, dry or humid climates. It can be put on long journeys or stuck in a freezer for long time storage. Whatever tomorrow brings SCA Kraftliner Wet Strength survives longer.
Growing trees will help us slow climate change
SCAs growing forest is an obvious contributor for drawing existing carbon out of the atmosphere, a vital factor in reaching the climate goals set by the United Nations.
Taking the truck towards a fossil-free society
We strive to reduce all fossil emissions - from the management of our forests to the transport of our products to our customers. This year we’re taking another step towards that goal when SCA and Scania together has developed the first electric timber truck with a technical capability of up to 80 tonnes total weight. A contribution to innovative and sustainable solutions.
SCA’s growing forests bind carbon dioxide
Combatting climate change is the biggest environmental challenge of our time. Growing trees bind carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and bring us renewable raw material from which we make products that can replace those with a higher carbon footprint.
