Fasikan
In 2023, SCA acquired the permitted wind power project Fasikan Vind AB from Arise AB. The project is located on SCA-owned land in Bräcke Municipality, Jämtland County.
The project includes the construction of 15 turbines that will be delivered by Nordex. The total installed power will be 105 MW with an estimated production of 333 GWh, which corresponds to an annual consumption of electricity for approximately 15,000 households.
Arise AB is responsible for construction of the wind farm, which will begin in November 2023 and the park is expected to be in operation at the beginning of 2026.

Project update
In 2024, the first of two construction phases for the Fasikan Wind Farm was carried out.
In this phase, 15 turbine locations were completed, including foundations and crane pads for installation. The internal road and electrical network were also finalized. During the autumn, the roads were tested to ensure they could safely and efficiently handle the required transports.
In parallel, work was ongoing in autumn 2024 and winter 2025 to construct the new power line between Fasikan and the connection point to the regional grid in Ånge.
The final kilometers of the line were placed underground to minimize environmental impact.
In spring 2025, transportation of wind turbine components to the site began, and by the end of May, the first turbine was erected. Construction continues through summer and autumn 2025. For safety reasons, work is paused during periods of high wind or thunderstorm risk.
During the most intense phases of construction, up to 100 people may be present on-site at Fasikan simultaneously.
For safety reasons, access to the area may be restricted during lifting and transport operations. We kindly ask for your understanding and thank local residents for their patience and consideration during the construction period.
The Fasikan Wind Farm is scheduled to be commissioned at the turn of the year 2025/2026.
