Take the opportunity to visit one of SCA's conservation parks this summer. There is parks in several regions in northern Sweden. The parks are areas that are characterized by greater diversity than the forest landscape in general.

In the parks, a large part of the productive forest land area is set aside for free development or is managed to benefit natural, cultural and social values. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities and experiences. All parks offer nice hiking trails with information signs. Nietsak-Peltovaara, south of Gällivare in Norrbotten

The park has plenty of old forests with high natural values ​​as well as deciduous and swamp forests. There are exciting cultural values ​​linked to both the Sami culture and the early tourism in the area.

Tjäderberget, southeast of Lycksele in Västerbotten

The park is quite hilly in places with four large peaks. Here are beautiful deciduous forests, pine-dominated stands of varying ages and some swamp and stream forests and a lot of red-listed insects that depend on pine and deciduous trees. Take the opportunity to hike on nice trails.

Sörgraninge, south of Graninge in Ångermanland

The park offers nice forest environments such as fertile woodland stream, high elevation conifer forest with heavy lichen growth, fire-affected pine forest, deciduous natural forest, as well as many bogs and lakes. There are several exciting trails and plenty of cultural relics, such as pitful traps.

Märlingsberget, outside Bräcke in Jämtland

The park has fine pine forests and several large untouched areas. The terrain is hilly in places and there are several small lakes, bogs and streams. Here and there in the park there are also really old pine trees. There are a couple of hiking trails with beautiful viewpoints.

Njurunda Coast, south of Sundsvall in Medelpad

The park is largely characterized by a long unexploited stretch of coastline with flat cliffs, boulders and shingles. Here there are fresh water environments, lagoons, flower-rich shore meadows, pine forests, wetlands and marshes. The park has several exciting excursion destinations, including ironworks environment at Galtström and fishing village at Lörudden, and offers nice hiking trails. However, wind blown trees from the storm Johannes in December 2025 may affect the accessibility of some trails.
