SCA Products (UK) Ltd
With our slow grown forests in the North of Sweden, we have the best conditions for producing high-quality wood products. Adapted to our different customers and segments based on needs. Our wood has a high proportion of heartwood and small twigs, which makes it suitable for visible wood, interior use and products with high quality requirements, such as interior and exterior panels.

SCA Wood UK team
We operate within an industry that finds itself in a market situation where we must look back several decades to find a comparison. But just as history has always demonstrated, challenging times also give rise to opportunities, and we look ahead with confidence.

Our sustainability platform
Sustainability work is integrated into our operations and our business decisions. Basically, we create as much value as possible, both in the forest and from the renewable raw materials provided by our forest.

A building material with less impact
With SCA's own EPDs, a thorough mapping of our entire value chain, from the forest, via the sawmill and out to the customer, we today have a firm grasp of the climate footprint of our sawn wood products.
About SCA

Sara takes the lead in business development
A few years ago, Sara Holappa Jonsson joined SCA as a trainee. Now, she steps into the role of Business Manager at one of Europe’s most advanced sawmills – SCA Bollsta Sawmill, Sweden. Her mission is clear – to work alongside her team to deliver premium-quality wood products in a profitable and sustainable way.

The role of the sawmill in a changing world
The past and the future meet in sawmills. Historically, they have been an engine for local communities, creating jobs and driving economic growth. Today, competition for raw materials is fierce and constant adaption is demanded to remain profitable. At the same time, demand is growing as requirements for using sustainable materials increase. The role that wood plays in this transition is crucial in many ways – both for industry and society

Turning market needs into production reality
When Mantas Dovidavicius moved to Sweden, he had no idea where the road would lead. But in the small town of Rundvik, just south of Umeå, he found both a professional role and a sense of belonging. Today, he works as a Business Developer at SCA’s sawmill in Rundvik – a role where he combines his engineering background with business acumen and a strong desire to contribute to something bigger.

Our business model
With 2.7 million hectares of forest, SCA is Europe’s largest private forest owner. Our business model is to sustainably create the highest possible value in, and from, this unique resource. We have growing forest assets and a high degree of self-sufficiency in raw material, energy and logistics.

How SCA contributes to a stronger northern Sweden
By planting, managing, harvesting, and refining forests, SCA can contribute to positive development in northern Sweden. Ulf Larsson, President and CEO of SCA, believes that better conditions for the forestry industry would also increase its benefits for society as a whole. “We can and we want to do more. By creating better conditions for the forest industry, we also create better opportunities for a green and globally competitive transition that is economically beneficial for society,” says Ulf Larsson.

100 million seedlings from SCA in 2024
2024 was yet another year of high seedling deliveries from SCA. Nearly 100 million seedlings were delivered to private forest owners and SCA's own forests. "It feels good to be able to contribute with seedlings of high quality that provide good growth in Sweden's forests, and thus significant climate benefits," says Thomas Vestman, head of NorrPlant.
