SCA Skog shall create living forests for future generations. This involves, for example, combining high-quality and value-creating production with resource efficiency. We shall also preserve the biodiversity and historical values of forests at the same time as these shall be available for recreation.
Our employees shall be highly competent and through a deep commitment to environmental issues help to develop and steadily improve our operations.
We shall conduct sustainable operations by producing and delivering our products and services using technologies and methods that limit and prevent negative environmental impacts.
We shall collaborate with our customers, suppliers, contractors and other key stakeholders to achieve more from our sustainability agenda. The compliance obligations identified through this dialogue form a minimum level.
Our own forestry is certified under FSC® (FSC® 004466), the Forest Stewardship Council, and PEFC (PEFC/05-23-131), the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, and, in accordance with these criteria, shall be conducted responsibly. When working on behalf of all private forest owners, we shall take the same responsibility for environmental considerations as we do in our own forestry activities.
All timber acquisition shall be carried out in a responsible manner and is therefore certified according to the requirements of FSCand PEFC regarding traceability and controlled wood standards.
In the event of major changes in operations, we shall consider our impact on environmental aspects.
