Within Skog, there is a wide range of professions, both in administrative roles and out in the forest, for example forest machine operators, timber purchasers, business developers, nursery workers, production managers, and nature conservation specialists.

Forest
SCA Skog (Forest) are responsible for the forestry management of SCA's extensive forest holding with 2.7 million hectares of forest land, of which 2.1 million hectares managed for timber production and also SCA's forest holding i Estonia and Latvia. Our goal is to supply our Swedish industries and sawmills with wood from both our own forests and from wood purchased from private forest owners.
SCA Skog iis a business area within the group, with headquarter in Sundsvall, and with approximately 60 offices across northern Sweden, as well as offices in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
The operations consist of five functions:
- Market
- Forest and Silviculture (including NorrPlant (seedlings) and Aggregate prdoucts and Roads)
- Production
- Wood procurement
- The Baltics
There are also five supporting staff units:
HR, Finance, Real estate, Technique & Digitization and Business management
Forestry contractors
SCA works closely with more than 150 contractor companies across northern Sweden, and we are always interested in establishing new partnerships. For those interested in starting their own business in harvesting and thinning, SCA offers attractive terms through our contractor support concept.
In addition, we have around 80 employed forest machine operators in our own teams. We are constantly looking for new operators to join SCA’s teams and welcome unsolicited applications.
