Who are we?

SCA is Europe's largest private forest owner. Based on this unique asset, we have built a strong industrial ecosystem that provides sustainable products to customers all over the world. Solid wood products, pulp and paper have long been parts of our product portfolio. We are now closing the industrial ecosystem loop by focusing on sustainable energy.

Sustainable advanced biofuels and biochemicals from forest-based raw materials represent exciting prospects for the future of the planet, and for the future of SCA. SCA’s forest assets and industrial operations provide the company with excellent opportunities to develop new business in the field of renewable energy, where residues from the forest and from SCA’s industries provide the raw materials.

The technical department at SCA Renewable Energy leads and develops the business area's larger and more complex projects. The project portfolio consists of different types of projects from early idea to design and implementation, often in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as technology developers and our external partners from the oil industry.
