Every year the Builders Merchants Journal sponsors an award at the Builders' Merchant Federation Young Achiever awards. This year the awards took place on the 20th September during a dinner held in Leicestershire. The dinner was part of the BMF Awards night, the conclusion to the Builders Merchants Federation annual Members' Day conference held at Hinckley Island Hotel. The event was attended by both Builder's Merchant and Supplier Members of the trade association. The Young Achiever Awards are open to anyone who are under the age of 35 and are working in companies which are members of the BMF.
"The standard was immensely high again this year, which bodes extremely well for the future of our industry," said BMJ Editor-in-Chief Fiona Russell-Horne.

"It was a privilege just to be put forward by SCA for the award in the first instance. I never expected to win as there was some stiff competition. I am very thankful to SCA for giving me the opportunities that I have had so far in my career here", says Amy Sellers.

SCA also sponsored the Young Merchant Achiever of the Year Award at the event. Presented by Toby Lewis, Head of Sales for SCA Merchant Services, Greg Ace of LBS Builders Merchants, won the accolade. As part of his prize Greg will visit SCA's operations later this year.
