SCA recently expanded its terminal operations in northern Spain with another associated terminal, this time at the Port of Pasaia.
SCA has cooperated with the Port of Pasaia for some time and it was a natural step to expand SCA’s our operations there. The change makes Pasaia an associated terminal, which is a port that SCA do not own, but has an extended collaboration. Pasaia is a town near San Sebastian in the Basque Country of northern Spain.
21 associated terminals
SCA operates its own ports in Sundsvall, Umeå, Kiel and Sheerness near London. In addition to these, it has 21 associated terminals, three in the US and the remainder in Europe. The terminals are often ports but can also be land-based.
Associated terminals are located in Dublin, Hull, Livorno, Milano, Vienna, Karlsruhe, Krakow, Rotterdam, Teresin, Tarragona, Pasaia, Fecamp, Albany (US), Brunswick (US,) Green Bay (US), Vasa, Skövde, Helsingborg, Oxelösund, Malmö and Timrå.
The terminals make it possible to move closer to the end customers, and to offer them higher quality deliveries. SCA has cooperated for many years with several of the terminals.
