Our roads

As a rule, we maintain our forest roads open for traffic so that they can be used by hunters, fishermen, berry pickers and other who wish to roam in the woods.

In certain cases, however, we may impose restrictions with regard to our forest roads, for example, in conjunction with thawing of frozen soil, autumn rains or when there is logging under way along the roads. Moreover, roads to areas with highly sensitive flora and fauna can also be closed.

Keep this in mind when travelling on our roads:
  • Park your vehicle along forest roads in such a manner that it does not hinder other traffic.
  • Use parking slots and natural parking areas.
  • The operation of snowmobiles is generally forbidden on SCA’s forest roads, since it is very costly to plow roads on which there has been snowmobile traffic. In other respects, laws governing cross-country (terrain) driving apply.
