SCA’s nature conservation strategy comprises a six-point programme and integrates nature conservation into forest management.
The measures that are required to integrate productive and profitable forestry with effective nature conservation that preserves biodiversity are:
Nature consideration in all forest operations - Environmentally compatible management methods which, in many respects, resemble natural disruptions and processes, such as forest fires
- Knowledge of nature conservation in our forests
- Ecological landscape planning
- Highly competent employees and continued development of the knowledge base and methods
- Collaboration with authorities in relation to high nature conservation values that require protection according to the Swedish Environmental Code.
