From seedling to a tree mature for felling takes about 80–120 years. SCA has a long-term approach to forest management to ensure that it is possible to harvest at least as much in the future as it is today.
SCA cultivates its forests with respect for nature and the environment, meaning that management methods are adapted so as not to cause any damage to soil, air or water. Efforts are also made to preserve biological diversity, that is, ensuring that animals and plants can continue to live in our forests.
Respect for nature is a natural part of operations and is integrated in all parts of the ecocycle of forest management.
