About Us

SCA Skog is responsible for the management of SCA’s extensive forest holding and for timber procurement to SCA’s Swedish forest industry operations.

SCA is Europe’s largest private forest owner with a total of 2.6 million hectares of forestland, of which 2.0 million hectares are used for timber production. The large forest holding provides an important basis for a stable flow of raw materials of the right quality to SCA’s industries in northern Sweden.

SCA Skog comprises five forest management districts, one timber procurement unit and two plant nurseries. The production of seedlings is marketed under NorrPlant. SCA also sells crushed aggregate under SCA Krossprodukter.

SCA Skog is part of SCA’s Forest Products business area, which produces publication papers for newspapers, magazines and catalogs, as well as pulp, solid-wood products, packaging papers and renewable energy, in addition to offering cost-efficient transport solutions to SCA’s units.

Certified forest management

SCA’s forest management is certified in line with the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) standard of 1999. SCA’s forest management has also been certified according to PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) since autumn 2011.
