SCA’s own fleet of vehicles collects over 750,000 tonnes of material per annum. SCA’s network works with Commercial/Industrial and Local Authority customers to offer timely and reliable collections.
A wide range of collection methods are available to you for the recycling of different materials. A range of materials in baled and loose formats can be collected through our modern fleet.
The drivers of SCA’s core fleet are employed by us, are fully trained to our own health and safety standards and understand your needs.
Examples of the range of collection services we provide include:
Cardboard & plastic film collections
For customers who can bale their own cardboard, plastic film or shrink wrap (LDPE), either loading the trailer themselves or opting for the driver loading service. Available nationwide, including Northern Ireland, there are a variety of options for you to choose:
- Collect bales from 80 kilos (tied by string or tape)
- Collect mill size bales (nominally 450 kilos plus)
- Customers can load the trailer
- Part-load collections of more than 3 tonnes
- Full-load collections of more than 18 tonnes
- Provision of stand trailers
- Sea-going containers for export
Dedicated paper collections
SCA’s fleet of tractor and trailer combinations collect a range of 35 cubic yard containers.

Whole load collection of Dry Mixed Recyclables (DMR)
SCA can arrange the collection of whole loads of DMR from sites across the UK. We use walking floor trailers to deliver this material to our materials recycling network.
