Star Birch+ is a further development of our Star Birch grade. Excellent bulk and good formation and cleanliness are typical properties for Star Birch+.
Star Birch+ is available in freeness values from 450 ml CSF and by using our unique HT-technology we can manufacture very high bulk grades.
By using a certain amount of softwood fibres we increase the options to tailor made the grade with respect to pulp strength, cleanliness and fibre morphology. Fibre cutting of softwood fibres, in the refining process, generates fibre length and formation properties almost in the same level as for a Star Birch. Birch+ is principally used in the same segments as Star Birch which means applications in tissue, board and “bulky papers” products.
One of the benefits with all our flash-dried Star pulp is that it can be delivered without bale wire. The bale wires are replaced with water-soluble glue that facilitates handling of pulp bales prior to pulping.
