At the end of the 1980s, SCA initiated a large development project with the aim of being the world-leader in absorption. In October 1992, Luna was launched as a pilot facility. SCA has developed this unique product entirely in-house with specially adapted properties for hygiene products, such as sanitary napkins and incontinence products. Luna is based on our own CTMP Star Fluff, which is further refined to an exclusive absorption material in roll form. Luna is characterised by excellent absorption combined with extremely high liquid-wicking properties. Luna has superb runnability and is highly suitable for the manufacture of various types of absorption products.
