Luna comprises three product areas that can either be used as a semi-finished product or for defibration: Luna Wave, Luna Core and Luna Fluff.
Luna is an airlaid material and depending on our customer’s requirements, the rolls are manufactured smooth or pattern calendared, in varying roll widths and roll diameters.
SCA has developed this unique product entirely in-house with specially adapted properties for hygiene products, such as sanitary napkins and incontinence products. Luna is based on our own Star Fluff, which is further refined to an exclusive absorption material in roll form. Luna is characterised by excellent absorption combined with extremely high liquid-wicking properties. Luna has superb runnability and is highly suitable for the manufacture of various types of absorption products.
