Kraft pulp has a long tradition within SCA. Östrand pulp mill was completed in 1932 and it was one of the largest kraft pulp mills in the world at that time.
Today, we have the capacity to produce 430,000 tonnes of kraft pulp sold under the Celeste name. The Celeste product group comprises three strong, totally chlorine-free, softwood kraft pulps: Celeste, Celeste Strong and Celeste Tissue. Depending on our customer’s requirements, the pulps are manufactured with varying brightness levels. It can be delivered both sheet and flash dried.
”We have developed special pulp grades with adapted properties for both printing paper and tissue paper. Product development covers the entire value chain, from the selection of suitable wood raw materials to the preparation of the finished pulp”, says Johan Malker, Product Manager Celeste.
