We produce 430,000 tonnes per year of our kraft pulp Celeste. The Celeste product group comprises three strong, totally chlorine-free, softwood kraft pulp grades: Celeste, Celeste Strong and Celeste Tissue. Depending on our customers’ requirements, the grades are manufactured with varying brightness levels. It can be delivered both as sheet and flash dried.
SCA Östrand has developed special pulp grades with adapted properties for printing & writing paper, tissue paper, and fine paper. Product development covers the entire value chain, from the selection of suitable wood raw materials to the preparation of the finished pulp. Celeste pulps are characterised by excellent beating properties, purity and high strength. Thanks to the pulp’s excellent beatability, the energy used in beating can be reduced, as can costs, in relation to other pulp.
