On Tuesday an earthquake devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital city. The Red Cross estimates that approximately 3 million people have been affected by the disaster. SCA has responded with a USD 50,000 cash donation.
Moreover SCA’s employees in the US, Canada, Mexico and Central America are collecting money to help too. The company will match every dollar they donate. The donation is being directed through the American Red Cross, which guarantees that 100% of the donation will support disaster relief efforts.
SCA in the Americas is also assessing warehouse levels and distribution possibilities for sending some of our products, including baby diapers, feminine care products and tissue, to Haiti.
