Edet toilet paper with stylish Swedish design

Edet has launched a limited edition of toilet paper and kitchen towels with stylish green and orange patterns. These were created by Ten Swedish Designers – originally a group of ten textile artists and designers.

Edet toilet paper and kitchen towels with 10 Group design

Since the start in 1970 Ten Swedish Designers have presented more than 700 printed fabrics and wallpapers. Today the group consists of Birgitta Hahn, Tom Hedqvist and Ingela Håkansson who loan their patterns to everyday objects like fabrics, toiletry bags, bags, doll’s prams, bibs, children’s aprons, ovenmits, potholders, gift vouchers, plates and post cards.

Italy or East Asia?

The patterns for Edet bears the name “Treviso” – a floral ornament called after a town close to Venice in Italy, and “Sticks” with a visual relation to East Asia.

Frida Berglund”Isn’t it nice that an ordinary must-have-product suddenly has become something beautiful you would like to show instead of hiding it?” writes Frida Berglund on Sweden’s largest blog for interior design.

Laurie Wisbrun”Now you tell me they have patterns even on the toilet paper? Beautiful design just seems to sweep from that entire country!” writes blogger Laurie Wisbrun, Austin, USA.

“It's fun to apply our designs to an unexpected product. This is in line with the thoughts we have had in the Ten group since its start in 1970 - to spread good design by everyday products”, says Ingela Håkansson.

Only this spring and summer

The Edet toilet paper and kitchen towels are available in Swedish stores during spring and summer 2009. And they have already impressed many consumers and bloggers. So don't forget to buy some gifts from Edet if you visit Sweden this summer.
