A lift for all public washrooms

Starting in January 2009 many washrooms and clean-up areas will be getting a face-lift when SCA launches a new family of dispensers, Tork Elevation. It is Tork’s biggest launch in ten years and the new dispenser line has already won an iF Global Design Award.

Tork Elevation commercialAs part of SCA’s global brand Tork, this new product line is based on solid international market research. The launch will take place in January 2009 in Europe and in the second half of 2009 in the Americas and Asia Pacific.

“One of our global AFH ambitions is to be the leader in washroom hygiene,” says John Drengler, Global Category Director AFH. “To this end it is very important that we deliver a complete washroom-dispenser assortment that meets our customers’ need for low maintenance, labour-saving refill capacity, easy cleaning and high image appeal.”

A smart and functional design

The Tork Elevation dispensers need to fit into a wide range of everyday washrooms, be highly functional and easy to maintain. Therefore:

  • They share a simple, sculptural design with gently curved surfaces and soft edges. The result is a compact yet inviting look that is easy to keep clean.
  • They meet the demands of small toilets with few visitors as well as of high-traffic washrooms. The seven hand-towel dispensers assures the right towel choice for any application. Toilet paper dispensers come in five sizes, fitting toilet rolls and folded toilet paper. Liquid-soap dispensers are available in two sizes. An air freshener and a 50 l waste bin complete the range. It’s a full washroom package.
  • From the Tork Elevation product lineThey are easy to use for both visitors and employees, quick to refill and require little maintenance. Easy, reliable dispensing of tissue and soap helps to lower consumption. This leads to less transport, less storage and waste. Combined with low maintenance this reduces costs at the same time as it makes the washroom experience much more pleasant.

The Tork Elevation dispenser line has already received an iF Product Design Award, one of the world’s oldest, best-known design competitions. The international jury of experts rewarded a number of products out of a total of 2,808 entries from 39 different countries. Among the iF award winners, there will be one iF Gold winner – to be revealed at the CeBIT Exhibition in Hannover, Germany, on March 3.
