As part of my employee induction upon joining SCA, I had the opportunity to attend a two-week training program at one of SCA's European offices in Gothenburg, Sweden. The entire program was specifically planned and personalized to support my professional needs and orientation into the Sourcing function.
During that fortnight in Europe, my program was filled up with facility tours and meetings with teams from R&D, product categories, sourcing and supplier development. Through sharing of their experiences and expectations, I was able to quickly learn about SCA's businesses, products and markets around the world, and align myself with our global platforms and practices within a short time.
This provided an extremely effective start into my role, allowing me to feel more confident about my ability to both perform and make a real contribution towards the growth and development of our business.
