Forestry, biofuels and seedlings
SCA Skog is responsible for the forest management, wood procurement and transport organisation. The forestry operations supply SCA's Swedish plants with timber. SCA's forest holdings comprise 2.6 million hectares primarily in northern Sweden, of which 2 million hectares is productive forest land.
SCA's forest management was certified in accordance with the principles of the Forest Stewardship Council FSC in 1999.
The head office is situated in the central of Sundsvall. One of the five forest districts in the organisatsion, Medelpad forest district, has its office in Tunadal just outside Sundsvall.
Part of SCA Skog are Norrbränslen and NorrPlant operations.
SCA Skog, Norrbränslen, is one of Europe's largest suppliers of forest-based biofuels that works with unrefined fuels such as branches and tops from fellings, bark, sawdust, and peat.
SCA NorrPlant cultivates and delivers approximately 90 million seedlings per year from the forest tree nurseries at Bogrundet and Wifstamon just outside Sundsvall.

SCA's forests are not just a source of raw material and a habitat for animals and plants. It is also an environment where people can relax, go hunting, fishing or to pick berries and mushrooms. This is why our forests always are open to the public. Welcome to our forests!
