Success for panty design competition

Lots of girls wanted to create their own panty pattern in the Nordic Design Challenge, a competition arranged by Libresse and JC. The winner will have her panty produced and sold in all JC stores in the Nordic countries.

More than 90,000 designs came in when Libresse and JC asked all Nordic girls to create their own panty pattern. Panties in all kinds of colours and patterns were suggested. The five best Nordic designs have been chosen and the final winner will be announced on September 28.

Linnéa Khalil, 20 year old, lives in Kungälv, Sweden, and is one of the finalists. She participates with her pattern Aki.

"I used colours from the approaching autumn and tried to make it stylish but still funny, she says in the newspaper Metro.

The jury consists of well-known design names from all Nordic countries: David Carlson, founder of a Swedish design company, Halldór "Dori" Gíslason from Kunsthögskolen in Oslo, Tom Hedquist, principal at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, Timo Salli from University of Art and Design in Helsinki and Karin-Margrethe Österlind from Den Grafiske Höjskole in Copenhagen.

Libresse announced the challenge in conjunction with the marketing of its design collection. The collection includes single wrapped towels with designed patterns which make them look more appealing and nicer to bring along in the handbag.
