Some of SCA's funding is conducted under commercial paper programmes and by issuance of bonds.

For the issue of bonds in the European debt capital markets, SCA has a Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme with a framework amount of EUR 2,000m (SEK 21,988m). At 31 March 2009, SEK 11,697m was outstanding with an average remaining term of 2.6 years.
SCA also has USD 450m (SEK 3,731m) notes with remaining term of 6.4 years issued in accordance with rule 144 A, under the US Securities Act of 1933.
SCA’s short term loan programmes comprise a Swedish commercial paper programme with a framework amount of SEK 15,000m and a Belgian commercial paper programme with a framework amount of EUR 400m (SEK 4,398m). At 31 March 2009, the outstanding amounts within these programs were SEK 7,436m and SEK 1,161m, respectively.
