SCA is a global consumer goods and paper company. We develop, produce and market personal care products, tissue, packaging solutions, publication papers and solid-wood products in more than 90 countries. We create value through knowledge of consumer and customer needs, regional presence and efficient production.

The company

Annual sales in 2007 amounted to EUR 11.4bn (11). SCA has about 50,000 employees in some 50 countries. Share of sales by business area in 2007: Personal Care 21%, Tissue 31%, Packaging 31% and Forest Products 17%.

GlobeSCA's market

Europe and North America are the main markets, but the Group also holds strong positions in certain segments in Latin America, Asia and Australasia. Expansion will continue mainly in Asia, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe.

SCA's ten largest markets are (in order): UK, Germany, USA, France, Sweden, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Denmark and Australia.

SCA's business areas

Personal Care comprises three product segments: incontinence care, baby diapers and feminine care. Important consumer brands are Tena, Libero and Libresse.

The business area Tissue offers toilet paper, kitchen rolls, handkerchiefs, napkins as well as related equipment to consumers and Away-From-Home tissue customers. Some of the brands are Tork, Tempo, Zewa and Edet.

Packaging offers containerboard and packaging solutions like transport packaging, protective packaging, consumer and point-of-sales packaging as well as services.

Forest Products produces publication papers, pulp, solid-wood products and timber.

The environment

SCA products are produced nearly exclusively from renewable and recyclable materials. Equal quantities of recycled and fresh wood fibres are used in production.
